4MRescueKit 12.0 BETA released.

4MRescueKit provides its users with software for antivirus protection, data backup, disk partitioning, and data recovery. It is distributed in the form of a multiboot CD, which includes four (extremely small) operating systems.

This release has Antivirus Live CD 12.0-0.96.8, BakAndImgCD 12.0, 4MParted 12.0, and 4MRecover 12.0.

4MParted is a very small live CD designed for disk partitioning. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for downloads.
This version includes GParted 0.21.0 and it uses 4MLinux 12.0 as the core system.

4MLinux 12.0 Allinone Edition BETA released.

This release has the same features as the basic version of 4MLinux, but it also includes 4MLinux Printing Suite (CUPS 2.0.2, SANE 1.0.24, Xpdf 3.0.4, Ghostscript 9.15) and 4MLinux QtPack (Qt 4.8.6 and 5.4.0, QupZilla Git-2014-02-18, SMplayer r6737). Improved support for YouTube videos (via SMTube SVN r6737 with mpv 0.8.0 and youtube-dl 2015.02.21) is also included. Fully automatic installation of Wine 1.7.38 (with WinSCP 5.7.0 and 7-Zip 9.38) is supported, too. The size of the ISO image is about 152 MB.

The main features in this release are maintenance (4MLinux Backup Scripts 12.0, ClamAV 0.98.6, MBR and GPT partitioning software, data recovery and wiping), multimedia (MPlayer SVN-r37369, FFmpeg Git-2015-02-05), mini server (FTP, HTTP, SSH with SFTP, Telnet), and mystery (a set of small games). The X Window System is based on X.Org Server 1.17.1, Mesa 10.5.1, JWM 2.2.2, GTK+ 2.24.26, FLTK 1.3.3, and the FOX toolkit 1.6.50. Fully automatic installation of the "vanilla" versions of many applications (such as Firefox 36.0.1, Java RE 8u40, LibreOffice 4.4.2) is also supported. The size of the ISO image is about 71 MB.

4MLinux 12.0 Core BETA released.

This is a core system (about 5 MB in size) for the 4MLinux 12.0 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 3.14.34, GNU C Library 2.21, and BusyBox 1.23.1. Additional firmware and drivers (including NVIDIA and AMD video drivers) can be downloaded from the 4MLinux website. All 4MLinux 12.0 applications have been compiled with GNU Compiler Collection 4.9.2 (x86/32-bit/SMP).
