4MRecover 16.0 BETA released.

Midnight Commander in 4MRecover 16.0

4MRecover is a small live CD designed for data recovery. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for download.
This version includes TestDisk 7.0 and it uses 4MLinux 16.0 as the base system.

4MLinux 16.0 is ready for testing. Create your documents with LibreOffice and share them using DropBox 3.12.6, surf the Internet with Firefox 43.0.4 and Chrome 47.0.2526.106, stay in touch with your friends via Skype and Thunderbird 38.5.1, enjoy your music collection with Audacious 3.7 and aTunes 3.1.2, watch your favorite videos with MPlayer SVN-r37557 and VLC 2.2.1, play games with Xorg 1.18.0/Mesa 11.1.0 support enabled. You can also setup the 4MLinux LAMP Server (Linux 4.1.13, Apache 2.4.18, MariaDB 10.1.9, and PHP 5.6.16). Perl 5.22.0 and Python 2.7.11 are also available.

4MLinux 16.0 Core BETA released.

4MLinux 16.0 Core running in VirtualBox

This is a core system (only a few MB in size) for the 4MLinux 16.0 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 4.1.13, GNU C Library 2.22, and BusyBox 1.24.1. The 4MLinux 16.0 series uses GNU Compiler Collection 5.3.0 to compile programs designed for the i686 architecture.

4MLinux 15.0 STABLE released.

Audacity running in 4MLinux 15.0

The status of the 4MLinux 15.0 series has been changed to STABLE. Major change in the core of the system, which now includes GNU C Library 2.22. As a response to the requests from 4MLinux users, the following applications have been added: Audacity (digital audio editor), GNU GRUB (boot loader), InfraRecorder (CD/DVD writing program), LXInput and LXRandR (small yet powerful setup tools from the LXDE project). Additionally, important change in the 4MLinux LAMP Server, which now uses Postfix to handle emails sent via PHP mail. More details can be found on the 4MLinux Blog.
