4MLinux 13.0 Allinone Edition BETA released.

aTunes in 4MLinux 13.0

This release has the same features as the basic version of 4MLinux, but it also includes 4MLinux Printing Suite (CUPS 2.0.2, SANE 1.0.24, Xpdf 3.0.4, Ghostscript 9.16) and 4MLinux QtPack (Qt 4.8.6 and 5.4.1, QupZilla Git-2014-04-08, SMplayer r6824). Additional firmware and drivers (including NVIDIA and AMD video drivers) can be downloaded from the 4MLinux website. The size of the ISO image is about 158 MB.

4MLinux 13.0 BETA released.

Default desktop in 4MLinux 13.0

The main features in this release are maintenance (4MLinux Backup Scripts 13.0, ClamAV 0.98.7, MBR and GPT partitioning software, data recovery and wiping), multimedia (MPlayer SVN-r37386, FFmpeg Git-2015-04-04), mini server (FTP, HTTP, SSH with SFTP, Telnet), and mystery (a set of small games). The X Window System is based on X.Org Server 1.17.1, Mesa 10.5.2, JWM 2.2.2, GTK+ 2.24.27, FLTK 1.3.3, and the FOX toolkit 1.6.50. Fully automatic installation of the "vanilla" versions of many applications (such as Chrome, Firefox, Java RE, LibreOffice, Wine) is also supported. The size of the ISO image is about 75 MB.

4MLinux 13.0 Core BETA released.

This is a core system (only a few MB in size) for the 4MLinux 13.0 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 3.14.39, GNU C Library 2.21, and BusyBox 1.23.2. The 4MLinux 13.0 series uses GNU Compiler Collection 5.1.0 to compile programs designed for the i686 architecture.

4MLinux 12.0 Allinone Edition FINAL released.

The status of the 4MLinux 12.0 series has been changed to STABLE. Major modifications in the core of the system, which now includes the GNU C Library 2.21. Additionally, PAE support has been enabled in the Linux kernel. The most important new applications are: Asunder (CD-ripping program), aTunes (audio player), and Chrome (web browser). The net browsing software available in 4MLinux has been significantly improved (see: the 4MLinux Blog).

4MAbuse and 4MDoom 12.0 BETA released.

4MAbuse 12.0 in action

Freedoom is an amazing FPS, while Abuse is one of the most famous "run and gun" video games. 4MAbuse and 4MDoom are very small LiveCDs, which boot directly to these games. Both the CDs use 4MLinux 12.0 as the core system.
