4MLinux 50.0 BETA

 

4MLinux 50.0 BETA is ready for testing. Basically, at this stage of development, 4MLinux BETA has the same features as 4MLinux STABLE, but it provides a huge number of updated packages.

 

Road map: 

August 2025 -> Core BETA
August 2025 -> BETA

November 2025 -> STABLE
March 2026 -> OLD STABLE

July 2026 > EOL

4MLinux 50.0 Core BETA released.

 

4MLinux 50.0 Core running in QEMU

This is a core system (only about 16 MB in size) for the 4MLinux 50 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 6.12.41, GNU C Library 2.42, and BusyBox 1.37.0. The 4MLinux 50 series uses GNU Compiler Collection 15.1.1 to compile programs designed for the x86_64 architecture.

Despite its extremely small size, 4MLinux Core supports both BIOS and UEFI boot modes.
