4MRecover 15.0 BETA released.

QPhotoRec 7.0 in action

4MRecover is a small live CD designed for data recovery. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for download.
This version includes TestDisk 7.0 and it uses 4MLinux 15.0 as the base system.

4MLinux 15.0 is ready for testing. Create your documents with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 and share them using DropBox 3.10.11, surf the Internet with Firefox 42.0 and Chrome 46.0.2490.80, stay in touch with your friends via Skype 4.3.0.37 and Thunderbird 38.3.0, enjoy your music collection with Audacious 3.6.2 and aTunes 3.1.2, watch your favorite videos with MPlayer SVN-r37544 and VLC 2.2.1, play games with Xorg 1.17.2/Mesa 11.0.2 support enabled. You can also setup the 4MLinux LAMP Server (Linux 4.1.10, Apache 2.4.17, MariaDB 10.1.8, and PHP 5.6.14). Perl 5.22.0 and Python 2.7.10 are also available.

4MLinux 15.0 Core BETA released.

4MLinux 15.0 Core running in VirtualBox

This is a core system (only a few MB in size) for the 4MLinux 15.0 series. The system includes: the Linux kernel 4.1.10, GNU C Library 2.22, and BusyBox 1.24.1. The 4MLinux 15.0 series uses GNU Compiler Collection 5.2.0 to compile programs designed for the i686 architecture.

4MLinux 14.0 STABLE released.

VLC running in 4MLinux 14.0

The status of the 4MLinux 14.0 series has been changed to STABLE. Major change in the core of the system, which now uses GNU Compiler Collection 5.2.0 to compile programs designed for the i686 architecture. Audacious (audio player), Opera (web browser), SMTube (YouTube browser) and VLC (media player) are now available as downloadable extensions. The way in which 4MLinux handles audio and video files has been greatly improved (see: the 4MLinux Blog for details).
